Shannan & Sam’s stunning — and absolutely scorching — wedding at Clanard Court Hotel in Athy, Co. Kildare.

Shannan & Sam were such a lovely couple, and from the moment we arrived there was a really laid-back atmosphere around the whole day. They got ready at the hotel before heading to the Little White Chapel, the beautiful purpose-built ceremony space right there at Clanard Court.

One of the things that makes Clanard Court such a unique wedding venue is that everything is right there. You can get ready at the hotel, have your ceremony in the Little White Chapel beside the Secret Garden, and then continue on to the celebrations without having to worry about transporting everyone from one location to another. The chapel itself is tucked away overlooking the surrounding countryside, which makes it a particularly lovely setting for a ceremony.

And what a day it was… especially weather-wise! It was the hottest day of the year, and it was simply too hot to head outside during the middle of the day for the additional couple photographs. So rather than dragging Shannan & Sam out into the heat, we waited until the evening when things finally cooled down.

It was absolutely worth the wait.

When you’re made to feel so welcome by a couple’s friends and family from the very start, you know it’s going to be a good day. A huge thank you to Shannan & Sam for having us along to document their wedding, and to the bridesmaids and groomsmen who literally went out of their way to make sure everything ran as smoothly as possible for both the couple and ourselves.

And, as always, a massive thank you to Emma and all the staff at Clanard Court. The team are brilliant, the venue is fantastic, and it’s always a pleasure coming back.
