Ash & Ben’s Wedding at Ballykealey House
I’m delighted to share a little look back at the wonderful wedding of Ash and Ben at the stunning Ballykealey House.
From the moment we arrived, it was obvious just how much thought and attention to detail had gone into creating their day. The level of detail Ash and Ben put into organising their wedding was exceptional, and every part of the day felt personal and carefully considered.
Getting ready at home
Both Ash and Ben got ready at home before making their way to Ballykealey House.
There’s something really special about photographing those quieter moments before a wedding. The anticipation builds throughout the morning, surrounded by the people closest to you, before everyone heads off to the venue and the day properly begins.
And with the weather being so warm, it was already shaping up to be a fantastic day.
A beautiful ceremony in the stone barn
The ceremony took place in Ballykealey House’s beautiful stone barn, which provided an incredible setting for the couple to say their vows.
The combination of the character of the old stone building and all the detail that Ash and Ben had put into the day made it a really memorable setting.
Once the ceremony was over, the celebrations really began.
A wedding packed with detail
One of the things that really stood out about Ash and Ben’s wedding was the attention to detail.
From the ceremony and flowers to the entertainment and all the little touches throughout the day, it was clear how much time and thought had gone into putting everything together.
There was even a magician and a live wedding painter, alongside the music, entertainment and all the other elements that helped make the day completely their own.
It was a wedding where there was always something happening.
And then came the sunset…
We were incredibly lucky with the weather throughout the day, and it even played ball long enough for us to get outside for some gorgeous sunset photographs.
That golden evening light around Ballykealey House was the perfect way to finish the photographic part of the day.
After a full day of sunshine, celebrations and plenty happening, we were then heading into what was one hell of a party.
One hell of a party
From start to finish, Ash and Ben’s wedding was an absolute celebration.
The atmosphere, the people, the entertainment and the sheer amount of thought that had gone into the day all came together perfectly.
It was also exactly the kind of wedding I love documenting — allowing the day to unfold naturally rather than constantly interrupting it for photographs.
We were there to capture the moments, the atmosphere and all the madness along the way, while making sure Ash and Ben actually got to enjoy their wedding with everyone who had come to celebrate with them.
I’m really grateful to Ash and Ben for having us along to document their day, and for making us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived.
