Dublin City Hall - Sarah & Conor
A Relaxed Dublin City Hall Wedding
.
Sarah and Conor wanted something much more relaxed — a small, informal wedding with their six-year-old daughter at the heart of it.
Their ceremony took place at Dublin City Hall, followed by the celebrations at Marco Pierre White in Donnybrook, with their families joining them for the day.
When Sarah first got in touch, she was looking for a photographer who could capture the day naturally. She wanted photographs of the ceremony, relaxed family photographs and some fun, informal images when everyone arrived at the reception and had settled into the celebrations.
It was exactly the kind of wedding I love photographing: small, personal and completely focused on the people who matter.
The Ceremony at Dublin City Hall
The day began at Dublin City Hall, with Sarah and Conor surrounded by their closest family.
With no bridal party and with only close family & friends as guests, the atmosphere was intimate and informal from the beginning. Their daughter was a huge part of the day too, making it feel much more like a family celebration than a traditional large wedding. It was laid-back, intimate and all about the couple and their families. What more could you want from a beautiful city centre wedding at Christmas?
Dublin City Hall is a fantastic setting for wedding photography. The grand architecture, beautiful interiors and incredible natural light provide plenty of opportunities for creative portraits, while its central Dublin location means you’re only a short stroll from some brilliant spots for photographs around the city. It’s a venue that offers something special for couples who want a city-centre wedding without having to travel far for their portraits.
From City Hall to Donnybrook
After the ceremony, we spent about 20 minutes taking some portraits around Dublin City Hall before taking a stroll through the city and making our way to Marco Pierre White in Donnybrook for the reception.
This was where the relaxed nature of the day really came through. Once everyone had arrived, the formalities were largely out of the way and the focus was simply on enjoying the evening with their guests.
There was also a nice personal connection behind me documenting this wedding. Sarah was recommended to me by her cousin, and we both grew up in the same area. I actually knew some of the guests, so there were a few familiar faces to say hello to when I arrived.
Marco Pierre White in Donnybrook was the perfect setting for Sarah and Conor’s relaxed wedding reception. With its welcoming atmosphere and reputation for great food, it’s a lovely choice for couples who want something a little more intimate than a traditional hotel wedding. Somewhere to settle in, enjoy good food and spend time with the people who matter most.
A Huge Thank You
Thank you to Sarah & Conor for having me along to document their wedding, and to their family and friends for making the day such a relaxed and enjoyable one to photograph.
It was a pleasure being part of such a small and personal celebration, and capturing the moments they’ll be able to look back on for years to come.
And, of course, a massive thank you to the teams at Dublin City Hall and Marco Pierre White Donnybrook for helping make the day what it was.
Sarah & Conor — thank you for having me along. ❤️

Testimonial
“I was worried about getting my pictures taken but he made both myself and my husband feel very relaxed . Anthony captured so many beautiful moments and details of our day, I found it hard to pick favourites. The candid pics of our friends and family speak for themselves .. we are forever grateful to him.”
